Claudia Fitzsimmons, Artist, Teacher, Creative Force
Growing up on the East coast, Claudia has a natural affinity for the ocean and beach. Her work often portrays the beauty of water as well as coastal landscapes.
Earning a BFA from Kent State University, Claudia gained a well-rounded artistic training there moving between media. From sculpture, to pottery, to oil and acrylic painting she illustrated styles from the traditional to the modern and Avant Gard.
Claudia began her career as a graphic artist and then moved into computer graphics as that media became prevalent. Then, with inspiration and personality to match, she launched her own graphic arts firm, Fitzimage. After a successful business career, and ready to focus more on the art, she stepped into teaching fine art in the Cherokee County school system near her home.
Sister (and friend) of Beach Nana, Claudia offers an artful influence over the entire family including her granddaughters who each exhibit that creative sparkle!
